This is my theme song for 2015.
E-40 proves why he's the most underrated rapper in Hip Hop history.
Taking no losses... I here you Kendrick.
This is a brilliant video and a great homage to one of the best comedies in cinema history: Coming to America. I must say Action Bronson brings personality and a freshness to the game. I'm becoming hip to his music.
It's Christmas time in Hollis Queens, Mom's cooking chicken and collard greens..... you know the rest!
Cover your ears if you can't handle raw bars from Pusha T and a video game beat produced from Kanye West. Whether this tracks moves you or has you running for the hills, I applaud the attempt to break up the monotony of Trap beats and DJ Mustard influenced tunes.
For my taste this is the most anticipated Hip Hop album. Well, that is unless Andre 3000 decides to bless us with a solo album. But that's like placing bets on a release date for Detox. I'll believe it when I hear it. Back to Jay Electronica. The MC from New Orleans has been teasing his fan base with gems and hints at a full album for quite some time. I hope this trailer is a good sign.
Red Microphone + J. Dilla Beat + No Entourage + Yasiin Bey (Cadence & Flow) = Hip Hop
This track is a breath of fresh air. I love the spirit and message. In hopes that Kendrick will continue a storyline concept on his follow up album to Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, I can easily see this track as a revelation or a final confirmation of self-worth of a Good Kid living in Compton.
Where would Hip-Hop be without this record? The first 10 seconds are stuff of legend. This is simply one the most sampled drum beats in Hip-Hip history. No need to dig in the crates, this record is already on heavy rotation.
